Our committees are the architects and the visionaries of The Creativity Collective. Volunteer on a committee! Committee heads give reports of current projects and progress at the general membership committee and quarterly at the board of director meetings.

Membership and Staffing Assistant:

Help keep track of our largest assets-our volunteers. This person would assist the membership and staffing head with creating a “member buddy” system to orient new members, keeping record of new members, alerting members if they do not satisfy in-kind requirements, sending project and program emails to members, overseeing member orientations and recruiting new members, taking photos of new members for the website, staffing members for events, planning member benefits and member appreciation parties, uploading committee projects and events to CAK Facebook & Google Calendar.

Magazine Staff for 2011/2012 Edition:

Be part of our comprehensive arts and entertainment travel magazine and artist resource directory Build your photo-journalism resume. Oversee magazine ad sales, implement and oversee magazine photojournalism, graphic design and distribution, provide monthly projected budgetary need for approval.

Welcome Service Committee Head:

Businesses and individuals that purchase ads in the Artisans Almanac are automatically included in The Klamath Welcome Service (KWS). KWS gives businesses the opportunity to introduce themselves to families and professionals that have recently moved to the area with a gift basket. Businesses provide promo coupons,samples, gift certificates, punch-cards and freebies for the baskets. The committee head picks up the items from the participating businesses and designs the baskets that would be picked up by new community members by appointment only.

Fashionlab:

Nurture and foster the fashion and beauty arts in The Creativity Collective! Oversee and plan the Fashion Show and Beauty Bazaar, arrange consignment with regional designers, assist in costume design, assist in the development of CAK clothing line, conduct research for potential projects and partnerships, provide monthly projected budgetary need for approval, recruit committee members, meet weekly to discuss progress, programs and marketing, and upload committee projects and events to CAK Facebook & Google Calendar.

Research and Talent Scout:

Do you have a good eye for talent? This committee head will assist in specific project research as need develops, research potential partnerships and locate potential members, talent, vendors, press, grant
opportunities and media opportunities, This committee head would oversee research projects and meet weekly to discuss progress, programs and marketing.

Fundraising Coordinator:

This committee head would assist in the location of grants and potential sponsorship and fundraising opportunities. Grantwriting and fundraising experience recommended.

Film Students and Enthusiasts:

Project Shoot Southern Oregon is growing their film team! Be part of CAK’s film and video programming activities such as movie nights, paid film/video projects, creating content for our web-based arts television programming and creating in-house promo for TV.

Artistic Kindred Committee:

The head of this committee will plan and execute the members-only annual retreat. This includes conducting research for potential discounts, vendors, sponsors, hotels, transportation and partnerships. Committee head would also provide projected budgetary need for approval and fundraise as needed, meet weekly to discuss progress and upload committee projects and events to CAK Facebook & Google Calendar.

Creative Casting Agency Committee Head:

The Creative Casting Agency is THE casting agency representation for Klamath County. The head of this committee will run the casting agency. This would include recruiting and booking talent and creating relationship with potential clients. Committee head would also provide projected budgetary need for approval and fundraise as needed, meet weekly to discuss progress and upload committee projects and events to CAK Facebook & Google Calendar. Art 2 Heal 1 Committee Heads:

The head of this committee will plan and execute the programming of ART 2 HEAL 1, a committee dedicated to promoting artistic expression as a path towards mental and physical health. Committee head would also provide projected budgetary need for approval and fundraise as needed, meet weekly to discuss progress and upload committee projects and events to CAK Facebook & Google Calendar.
