Philantrophy

Our Philanthropy

Internally, The Creativity Collective:

  • Has a zero-tolerance policy for drugs, fighting, and under-age alcohol.
  • Is comprised of a staff that includes educators, parents, business owners, academics, artists, etc.
  • Is home to over 30 teenage members who volunteer 20 hours (required) per month towards staffing, cleaning, and working on community and internal projects.
  • Has a women's networking group dedicated to "quality of life" issues for local women.
  • Welcomes dialogue arising from concerns over our programming.
  • Welcomes chaperones from the community, interested in assisting us with providing a safe and fun environment for our future--our youth.
  • Is a fully self-sustaining, all volunteer, non-profit group.

In the community, has:

  • Supported the Red Cross by hosting a blood drive that raised 26 liters of blood–60 lives
  • Supports Toys for Tots on a yearly basis and lends our facility to other non-profit efforts.
  • Supported the Red, White, and Blue – Forever, Thank You, an event of the Veterans' Services Office with 17 volunteers and the use of our facility.
  • Has marched in Veteran's Day and Independence Day parades.
  • Creates welcome baskets for new residents, including students and families.
  • Publishes a magazine that highlights community arts and entertainment.
  • Provides afterschool programs, youth mentoring, and senior project opportunities.
  • Created "Legacy of Bravery," an online memorial archive of local military and Veterans.
  • Created "Legacy of Bravery Memorial Tours" a van tour of area memorials, stories & music.
  • Provides affordable arts classes and free hands-on training in the arts.
  • Provides an alcohol and drug-free dance club for kids on Friday and Saturday.
  • Provides "art as therapy" programming including a survivor series book club.
  • Brought talent to Klamath from Austin, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Austria, etc.
  • Provides a place for young bands to play and practice music in a "non-bar" environment.
  • Participates in community-building orgs. such as the Snowflake Festival Committee, Answer People, Downtown Business Association, and Chamber of Commerce.
  • Was commissioned to create a film for Fairview Elementary Drama Club w/ children ages 7-12.
  • Was commissioned to create a short documentary on the history of The Klamath Blues Festival.
  • Completed the documentary, KU STORIES, tales from a local historic high school.
  • Provides professional talent for corporate events and nonprofit events and fundraisers.
  • Hosts gallery openings monthly to accompany the 3rd Thursday community event.
