What's New

The Creativity Collective has been very busy since we let go of our Arts Kitchen in Klamath Falls. We were able to find some venues that were willing to absorb many of our planned events for 2011. Special thanks to The Klamath County Library, Old Town Pizza, Kiger Stadium, Klamath County Fairgrounds, and Waldos Bar and Grill for your support.

A new emphasis has been placed on finishing our 501c3 paperwork and submitting it. Other possibilities have presented themselves as far as The Creativity Collective expanding to other regions in (and out of) Oregon. We had hoped to have satellite Collectives, but didn't anticipate it happening so soon. Very excitng.

We have had to say goodbye to two three special committee heads: GIna, Taryn and Tanya. I still remember when I cornered Tanya in the Safeway parking lot and asked her to take on the Building/Security committee position. It was only a short time later that she was asking that all important question, "OK, who's turn is it to buy toilet paper." It was shortly after that that Tanya was cast as a lead in our Christmas play. Good times. Tanya and Taryn are going to Florence, OR where we hope to grow a Collective. The area is very supporting of the arts and a beautiful location for The Creativity Collective to expand to.

We still have our fingers crossed for Flagstaff, AZ where Gina is moving to with her family. I'm sure she will keep us posted. Our resident monster and parade committee head, Taryn will also be missed. We love you, with or without your mohawk.

We are always discussing the option of re-opening a Contemporary Arts Kitchen in Klamath Falls. The location would have to be approved for a cafe and venue, so we know that not just any place will do. Any ideas?

Please enjoy our new website and hope to see you at our next event.

P.S. Looking for something to do this summer. We have several positions open in a variety of art forms. Come check us out at the next general meeting on the fourth Thursday of the month at Old Town Pizza on Main St.
