Kiddie Kitchen

Kiddie Kitchen is devoted to exposing children to the arts by creating a child-friendly environment for the whole family.

Kiddie Kitchen conducts art activities for children. The group’s focus is to generate creative  programming, mentoring and opportunities for children. These activities are conducted monthly and are either in-house or in the community. Kiddie Kitchen furthers the exempt purposes of The Creativity Collective by stimulating imaginative opportunities, education and entertainment for community children at low to no cost. The committee works 90 percent of the time on these activities. The remaining 10 percent is providing content for the Artisans Almanac artist resource magazine. Kiddie Kitchen funds itself through monetary contributions, in-kind contributions, the artist magazine, and additional organization programming.

Below are some of our accomplishments

• The Collective's PSSO wrote, edited, and filmed "LAST," featuring the students of Fairview Elementary. The final project was a fundraiser for the school's drama department.
• Hip hop dance class were held at CAK for toddler and elementary aged children
• CAK held a "Snowflake Festival Family Night" featuring free arts and crafts for children
• Participated in the Downtown Association's "Scarecrow Row" Halloween kids event
• Children are encouraged to participate in Open Mic Poetry, held monthly
• The Creativity Collective has provided children-focused vendor booths at local festivals
• Children are encouraged to participate in parades and much more!

The Contemporary Arts Kitchen in Klamath Falls boasted having an area just for our little CAK kids. Books, legos, board games and toys entertain our little ones while their parents are in classes, at work, at shows or checking their internet.

Future CAK location could additionally include a child care providers.

• Artventure is a free interactive art excursion for the whole family
• 

A low-to-no-cost interactive art adventure for the whole family in an effort to shine a light on our cultural arts district. Partnering organizations and businesses will be open with free kids activities, entertainment and freebies. Kids' activites will include origami, face painting, scrap-booking, coloring, water games, contests, gallery exhibits and much more. Entertainment will include performance art, dance, live music, karaoke, puppetry and more. Vendors will be giving away free samples, snacks, balloons, crafts, coupons, and more. The first 500 families to arrive will be given an Artvoucher treasure map and will visit each of the participating locations for their stamp. Completed Artvouchers are put into a raffle for a Treasure Chest at the end of the day when they are raffled off to a winner. There will be guest appearances, special contests, drawings and entertainment to draw the entire family to the event. Artventure is guaranteed to provide fun family time as well as an opportunity for kids to experience the arts of Klamath Falls.
