Fashionlab is committed to providing resources for makeup artists, hair stylists, fashion designers, health professionals, models, and more.

Fashionlab Committee conducts clothing, apparel, accessories, footwear, textiles and clothing retail related activities such as planning, executing and marketing fashion events, education and mentoring. These activities are conducted monthly and are either in-house or in the community. These activities further the exempt purposes of The Creativity Collective by providing resources, networking, opportunities, exposure and experience for fashion designers, makeup artists, health professionals and beauty professionals. The committee works 90 percent of the time on these activities. The remaining 10 percent is providing content for the Artisans Almanac artist resource magazine. Fashionlab Committee will fund itself through clothing sales and assisting with the Fashion Show and Beauty Bazaar.

Below are some of our accomplishments

• Costumes and stage-makeup for Haunted House Theater 2009 and 2010
• Featured the textile art-work of Mickie McCormic
• Costumes and stage makeup for the production of Rocky Horror Picture Show
• Costumes and stage makeup for the production of "In the Company of Killjoys"

What you have to look forward to:

• The clothing designed by our members featured in exhibits, online, and in print
• Clothing stores can be developed in Contemporary Arts Kitchens
• Vendor opportunities available throughout the year
• Get inspiration from mentors. Fashion industry education will also be available at our conference and our yearly retreat.
• Fashion Show and Beauty Bazaar: Enjoy a day of pampering, food, entertainment and vendors in fitness, fashion, health, and beauty fields. The day will start with the Muffins and Mimosa brunch. There will be workshops and speakers throughout the day giving tips and resources for the business woman to the fledgling model. The Fashion Show and Beauty Bazaar is a great gift for new moms, graduates, or for mother/daughter getaways. The Creative Casting Agency will be setting up at 5pm to sign up area talent for representation. CC Agency is listed in the Oregon Media Production Directory as the Klamath Falls casting agency. They are looking for talent in voice, acting, music, dance, modeling, and performance art. The day ends with a fashion show at 7pm that will feature a variety of styles from Southern Oregon. There will be a focus on business attire, wedding dresses and formals. There will be sports attire, swimwear, tattoo arts, kids fashions, punkwear, maternitywear, comedic t-shirts, casual attire, animal fashions and more.

COST FOR EVENT: $10 for advanced tickets. $13 at the door. Half off for under 13. Half off for members in good standing. Free for committee heads. Scholarships available (TBD)

COST FOR FASHION SHOW: $6 for advance ticket sales. $10 at the door. 1/2 off for members. 1⁄2 off for anyone under 13.

COST FOR VENDORS: $15 for service booths. $25 for booths that offer items for sale. Vendors are asked to advertised their place in the event through their advertising channels. Ie: if they host their own website, have counter space to put a flier or have an event calendar that they email to their clientel. The Creativity Collective will do the rest. SPECIFICS FOR VENDORS: A signed agreement is necessary. Vendors are allowed to sell their services and items but MUST offer something for free. Ie: Salon can offer hair product samples. Nail technician can offer free 5 minutes manicures, masseuse can offer free 5 minute massages, etc.

SPECIFICS FOR FASHION SHOW MODELS: Models must pre-register and be available for fittings one week prior to the event. Children must have waivers signed by their parents.
