The Contemporary Arts Kitchen

The Creativity Collective is committed to providing a home, a work-shop, a venue, a safe place through created Contemporary Arts Kitchens (CAK).

These multi-disciplinary art centers provide under one roof:

• A theater playhouse
• A safe "hang-out" for artistic youth
• An educational facility for all ages
• A cafe, study, and reading space
• A arts magazine headquarters
• A film studio and editing headquarters
• inexpensive band practice space and musical venue
• an artist studio and gallery space
• a dance studio and performance space
• A creative space for problem solving and self improvement

To be sustainable, the building must be suitable for:

• A café/coffee shop
• A stage and staging area that could hold at least 100 people
• An office space for administration and magazine headquarters
• Downtown or near a college
• A monthly overall overhead of $500

• A tax write-off for fair market rent should we obtain the 501c3 in 2012

A necessary addition:

We have discovered a community arts center is difficult to sustain without the added value and funding provided by a cafe and/or beer garden. Branding is available for the coffee-shop and beer garden. Some equipment, manuals, processes and systems are also available.
