Dec 10th -- Snowflake Festival sanctioned, Artventure treasure hunt and street fair

Every second Saturday on a route that begins at The Children's Museum and ends at Veterans Park, partnering organizations and businesses will be open with free kids activities and entertainment. Most activities are interactive and for all ages. There will also be face painting, rock painting, marble art, cupcake decorating and cookie painting. Music will be provided. Additionally vendors will be giving away free samples, snacks, balloons, crafts, coupons, and more.

"The purpose of Artventure is to highlight the arts organizations and vibrant artistic talent in the Klamath Falls Arts District area and to help create awareness for the value of arts in our community," says Christy Soto, the organizer of Artventure.

What makes this street-fair unique is that it has a treasure hunt built into it. Families pick up their Artvoucher treasure maps at the Children's Museum at 11 a.m. and set out to visit each of the participating locations for their stamp or sticker. Completed Artvouchers treasure maps are put into a raffle for a treasure chest at the end of the day when it is raffled off to a winner.

Below are dates and themes:

Jan 14: Asian Excursions (part of Chinese New Year

Feb 11: Valentines Tea Party (Park-wide tea party)

Mar 10: St. Baldrick's (to raise cancer awareness)

Apr 14: Easter Hop

May 12: Latin Travels (part of Cinco de Mayo)

Vendor opportunities are available for $25 per month or 25% off for the whole year. Vendors with no physical location have their choice of Stukel and Veterans Park. Vendors must provide at least one free activity or performance art/entertainment in addition to your regular type of business. Vendors also must contribute a small gift for the treasure chest to be raffled off at the end of the day. Participating vendors get their location listed on the Artventure Artvoucher map. Promotional photography and videography will be created and used widely in web and print, giving them additional advertising. Participants get exposure to the community to generate new customers and recruit supporters and a new participation certificate to hang in your business each month
Sponsorships will be available giving sponsors the opportunity to get their logos associated with the event as well as included on merchandise that will be created, including a mascot, plush animals and coloring sheets, and t- shirts. Click here or call 504-957-5820 to host an activity!
